Morland Old Golden Hen is a light golden beer that has both smooth flavours and traditional refreshment. It is brewed using the rare Galaxy hop, which gives the beer its golden colour and adds some subtle tropical fruit notes that can be identified in the finish. It is incredibly smooth and could easily be taken alongside a nice roast in place of wine.
Its sister beer, the slightly heavier and darker, Old Speckled Hen was first brewed to mark the 50th anniversary of MG Cars, and that is why the label on it is the distinctive edge octagonal shape. Old Golden Hen follows in this tradition. It is available in cans, bottles and available in draught at any decent pub. |
