| Description: | Made from the Corvina grape which is indigenous to the region, this wine has an intense aroma of dark fruits, which leads to a very deep and full bodied complex dark wine. The ddesignation Classico Ripasso means that the wine, after vinification in stainless steel is then pumped over the lees which has been racked into barrel. This second fermentation boosts the flavor which literally overpowers in the mouth. This is one wine that you cannot drink on its own; it needs to be accompanied by a strong cheese to soften and round out its flavor. Doing so makes this an enjoyable wine. |
